The Origins of Human Morality

The Origins of Human Morality

Where do we get our moral & ethical values? This is a deep-time, scientific look at some key elements of ethical, moral principles. We will first identify a few elements of moral codes that are generally accepted world-wide and then we will examine data on behavior, fossil patterns, environmental influences, etc. that go into the development of what we now think of as moral principles.  A goodly share of these principles precede any organized religion (e.g., last 2,000 years) by tens of thousands of years.
