Enhance your weekend by taking an invigorating hike to Woods Quarry! Follow naturalist Suzanne Michot to one of the historic Lyons sandstone quarries within the City of Boulder Open Space Mountain Parks. Find out about this unique place and the interesting plants and animals of the area! You will also learn the history and geology of the quarry. The hike is approximately 3 miles round trip with a 700 foot elevation gain. Wear sturdy shoes or boots and bring rain gear and a snack.
Meet at the Chautauqua Dining Hall, 900 Baseline Road in Boulder and then hike on City of Boulder Open Space Mountain Parks trails.
