Awesome Science
Awesome Science
Some impressive ancient science along with some impressive modern science examples. In this talk, the emphasis will be on less well-known science advances that many find quite interesting. For example, the name Green Revolution has some presence in the general knowledge pool but the man responsible, Norman Borlaug, remains almost completely ignored. The talk will also include some very old science but insightful science: estimating the circumference of the earth by human steps and a pole shadow in 240 B.D.
