Explore the 1859 Colorado Gold Rush. Learn not only the techniques of gold panning but also of the Boom Towns that came about. This trunk contains lesson plans and activities to go along with the artifacts. Artifacts in the kit are: slouch hat, Sticking Tommy/candle, union suit, carbide lamp, claim document, gold ore, iron pyrite, tin cup, gold pan, gold scales, mining helmet, and pick axe head.
Trunks can be picked up on Saturday between 12:00pm and 2:30pm. The Museum is closed on Sundays for the foreseeable future. Trunks need to be returned by 10:00am the following Saturday morning.
The new pick-up and drop off times are implemented during the Longmont Museum's Expansion. Any questions please contact our front desk at 303-651-8374.

Cancellations must be made at least two weeks prior to the start date for a full refund. Cancellations made less than 2 weeks prior to the program start date are subject to a 50% fee, less than 1 week are subject to a 75% fee. No refunds on or after the scheduled pick up day.
